Will vs the Crazy Homeless Guy-Day 75- March 25th, 2018

Despite sleeping on a futon, I got some good sleep and we all slept in pretty late. Day light savings time in France happened early this morning, so I got one less hour of sleep.

We were in no rush to start to day, and headed to a cafe for breakfast around 11:30. I got a muffin and pretty extravagant coffee. It was a bit too sugary for me, but you have to splurge sometimes.

While we were sitting at the cafe, we took some time to facetime Andrew in China. I felt bad because he was the one missing Clark child in Grenoble. After talking with him for a while, we said goodbye and headed out. I wanted to show my sisters the university campus in Grenoble.

We hopped on the tram and headed to campus. We walked around and I showed them the four places I actually go on campus. If you read my blog, you’re already familiar with them. I’ve never been here on a Saturday, and it was like a ghost town. There was no one here and it was very eerie.

The science building where I have all my classes normally looks pretty rundown. With nobody being on campus, it straight up looked abandoned. I told my sisters at first it was an abandoned building, then told them later that it was where I had all my classes.

After my little campus tour, we headed to the Musée dauphinois. This is the museum with the Olympics exhibit that I have been to before. It was still enjoyable, despite being my second visit.

Here are a few pictures:

After the museum, we were hungry again and went to Batman kebab for lunch. I knew it was a must for my sisters to try tacos and kebab while in France. They got a taco and kebab and shared them. I got a steak taco in my usual fashion.

After eating we went back to the airbnb to hang out. We had somewhat exhausted all of Grenoble’s museums after all. They’re wasn’t wifi in the apartment, so we watched some episodes of The Jersey Shore that I had on my laptop.

The girls were pretty exhausted from yesterday and their week of travel, so they napped for a bit. I used this time to plan a trip for May where I was planning to meet my cousins in Le Cinque Terre in Italy. I had to iron out all the logistical details and check them over with my cousin.

I’m staying with them for about two and a half days in Monterosso, Italy. I’m going to spend a day in Milan before that, then hang out in Pisa for a bit before I fly out. I have a few hours before my flight and want to use that to see the leaning tower.

Later my sister emerged from their nap and we got ready to go out to dinner. We had plans to get Raclette at this one restaurant nearby. Unfortunately, the wait was really long, so we to check out some other places.

While we were walking, some homeless dude kept bothering us and wouldn’t leave us alone. I had to yell at him and be intimidating until he left. This situation made me realize that I really need to brush up on my French curse words for situations like this. It would have made my life much easier in the moment since he didn’t understand English.

We ended up finding a burger restaurant nearby to eat at. I wanted my sisters to try raclette, but I had so much food this weekend that it would have difficult to eat the very filling meal that raclette is. My burger ended up being really good, but surprisingly spicy. I definitely want to come back here again with my friends.

I enjoyed this last meal with my sisters, and afterwards we facetimed my parents for a bit outside. I said one last goodbye to my sisters, then headed back to my house. They were leaving tomorrow morning, but I had class around the same time.

When I got back, I spent some time watching the Villanova basketball game and BU hockey game online.

I ended up going to bed a bit earlier since I wasn’t feeling great.
