Study Day Pt. 2-Day 123-May 13th, 2018

I woke up around 9:30 today and lounged around for a bit before getting up. I almost always set two alarms on the weekend, but have been getting up after hearing the first one. What usually happens is that I see I have a bunch of notifications when checking the time, then feel compelled to check all the them. By the time I look at all of them, I am too awake to go back to sleep. That happened yesterday and today too.

I ate breakfast after getting up in the usual fashion. Even though I hadn’t gotten anything done, I wanted to watch an episode of White Collar. I meant to watch one before bed last night, but editing took way longer than expected.

After the episode, I knew it was time to start my studying. I was about to start studying for nuclear physics and I went to check the exam time for tomorrow. To my surprise, my quantum mechanics exam was actually tomorrow, not the exam for nuclear physics and relativity. Whoops. On the bright side, it is just a lab exam which means there isn’t much I can do besides reviewing the old labs. I also won’t have to study as much when it’s actually time for my nuclear physics exam as well.

I spent the next hour and a half reviewing my old labs, since I will have to redo a slightly changed version of one of them. I remembered most of the labs decently and I am hoping the lab exam won’t be too crazy. I guess we will see tomorrow.

Once I finished studying, I ate lunch which was the rest of my sandwich from yesterday. I watched another episode of White Collar because I don’t have that much self control. I had planned to study with Nick later in the afternoon, so I wanted to get some more work done before he came.

This included reviewing the rest of my quantum labs and reteaching myself Laplace transformations for differential equations. Around 5, Nick came over and I gave him the grand tour of my room. I introduced him to Andre as well. I was surprised because he said my room was awesome and he would never leave it if he lived here. He’s not the first of my friends to say they like my room, I must have a good gig going on after all.

We got some good studying done and discussed what we expected on the exam. During this session, I got to a point where I felt pretty solid with differential equations and was done studying. I spent the rest of my time looking at quantum while Nick and I studied. After about two hours, Nick headed out.

At this point, I was feeling decently prepared for both of my exams and retired from studying. I typed up my blog post from yesterday after this. Once I was done with that, I facetimed my friend Ivy for a bit and it was nice to catch up.

I ate dinner today which really just consisted of a pb&j and some snacks. I had two slices of bread left and wanted to finish off my supplies. I get my stipend tomorrow and will pick up some real food. While eating, Anne Marie brought me a nice of food that had bread and cheese plus some more snacks, which I saved. She really is so kind to me and I appreciate it a ton.

After eating dinner, I typed up this blog post. My current plan is to watch an episode of something on Netflix, then probably go to bed a bit earlier. After tomorrow, I will be halfway done with my exams!
